My journey with pleasure and sensuality wasn’t always juicy and empowered.

Growing up in a strict Christian Armenian household, pleasure was a topic we never touched, sensuality felt like something to hide, dirty or even feared. I felt trapped in a cage of shame and disconnection.

For years, I was numb. Not just in my body, but in my spirit. I couldn’t feel the pleasure and joy that I knew, deep down, was my birthright. I went through my youth and even much of my past marriage not fully inhabiting my own body, as if it wasn’t mine to enjoy or explore.

The sensations were dulled, my desires muted. I felt like I was living behind a glass wall, watching life go by but never really feeling it. And I kept asking myself—why? Why couldn’t I tap into the passion and freedom I so deeply craved?

Everything changed when I dove into deep healing work, sacred sexuality, and tantra.

Imagine the first time I learned that sensuality wasn’t something to be ashamed of, but a powerful portal to my own aliveness and connection to the divine. It was like stepping into a new world.
